Earlier this month, MAD Hospitality debuted Betty Gene’s in Madison, Georgia’s Historic Downtown Square. Betty Gene’s is the latest concept from MAD Hospitality, which also operates The Dining Room, The Patisserie on Main, Hart & Crown Tavern, MAD Taco, The Sinclair, and the Buggy Works event space in Downtown Madison.
“With Betty Gene’s, I envisioned a space offering a classic Southern diner experience with an approachable menu that is also consistent with the high quality of MAD Hospitality’s restaurants. It is a spot to grab a full breakfast on the downtown square, something that has been missing for years,” says Preston Snyder, founder of MAD Hospitality.
Betty Gene’s offers breakfast and lunch, featuring chef-driven dishes inspired by the meals Southern moms cooked for their families in the 1970s using fresh ingredients from local and regional farmers and producers.
Housed in a restored historic building that was once the site of the original Morgan Hotel, one of the finest hotels operating during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the restaurant features an open-concept dining room with unobstructed views into the kitchen, an outdoor dining patio and a private event space at the back.
