Secreto Southern Kitchen & Bar chef Boyd A. Rose and managing partner Paulo Junior announce the arrival of the restaurant’s second location set to open in Brookhaven mid-spring. Secreto’s new Brookhaven location is located in Brookleigh Marketplace in the former Fiorello’s Italian Bistro space. The neighborhood restaurant serves contemporary twists on Southern cuisine for lunch and dinner.
Secreto’s name, which translates to secret in Spanish, represents the art of recreating recipes that have been handed down for many generations. This resonates in Rose’s inspired cuisine and Junior’s service.
General manager Stephen Elder leads the front-of-house team at Secreto in Brookhaven, drawing on his experience in fine dining and customer. Elder is also responsible for the wine program at the new location, which will feature a wine list heavy on selections from small producers in California and Oregon alongside a mixture of French, Spanish and Italian varietals. A variety of fine spirits, liquors and cordials are available alongside a rotating selection of new and classic cocktails.
The Brookhaven menu closely resembles what is offered at the Alpharetta location. It spotlights Rose’s passion for farm-fresh ingredients and updated Southern staples such as Southern fried chicken served with buttermilk mash, garlic green beans and smoked bacon jalapeño gravy; grilled lemon basil jumbo shrimp with grilled corn, roasted mushroom and spinach pearl couscous, lemon beurre blanc and crispy gourmet mushrooms; and crispy seared Heritage Farms pork belly with wild mushroom risotto, tomato jam, fried shallot rings and dried cherry port wine pork jus.
“I grew up in the South, and the recipes that my mother and grandmother cooked have always inspired me to provide soul-satisfying meals for our guests,” says Rose.
Secreto Southern Kitchen & Bar in Brookhaven, features dark leather and reclaimed wood paneling. The restaurant seats 86 guests inside and an additional 50 on the large outdoor patio. A private dining room can accommodate 22 seated guests.
